Coogs moved the game to NRG to add 30,000 more seats to the attendance

Arrive 40 minutes before kickoff while most alumni are still tailgating

Cougars warm up on the Houston side of the field

Cougars finished last year 13-1 ranked #8 losing only to UConn

Sooners finished 11-2 losing to Texas and in the semi-finals to Clemson

Cougar band, the Spirit of Houston, takes the field first and lets the stadium know who they are rooting for

The Texas team isn't favorited but has more fans in the building

The Pride of Oklahoma spells out the helmet logo at the end of their routine

The Sooners enter the field ranked #3 and favored to beat the hometown team by more that 10 points

The #15 Cougars come forth aiming to earn their first victory over Oklahome after two prior blowouts in 1981 & 2004

Governor of Texas shows his colors for the coin flip

Cougars kick off to the Sooners to start the 11am game

Sooners pick up 3 first downs in seven plays and get the ball to the UH 32

Mixon runs the last 32 yard for the TD and first score of the game.

cougars answer with a 10 play drive but settle for a FG, OU up 7-3

OU follows with a FG and UH answers with a second FG, OU up 10-6

Take a Lumina Panarama of the stadium and the most red shirts I have seen in one location . . . impressive

An OU punt leads to Catalon's 15yd TD reception and UH's first lead

Houston takes their first lead of the game 13-10

OU regains the lead with a Mayfield to Andrews 64yd TD pass, OU up 17-16

UH bookmarks two FGs around an OU punt to take the lead at half, 19-17

OU Band plays Elvis while the scoreboard shows UH holds an edge in stats

UH Band plays songs from Queen and give a flourish to the Q

Both bands take the field for a couple patriotic songs that fans stand for

UH punts on the first 2nd half possession and OU plans to retake the lead

OU drives to the 34 but a sack gives them 4th and 18 on the UH 36

OU takes a timeout to decide what to do . . . Go for a 53yd FG!

Wilson catches it in the back of the endzone & takes it 109 yds the other way

Extra point gives UH a two score 26-17 lead

But OU is not out yet, 2 plays, 20 yds and Baxter fumbles the ball away

UH gets the ball on their own 49 and Ward moves the ball down the field

With 1st and Goal at the 2, Ward finds McCloskey uncovered on the left side

An easy catch and stroll into the endzone giving the Cougars a 33-17 lead

OU's Mayfield is still game until he's sacked & fumbles the ball on the UH 39

UH goes three and out and then OU goes three and out in the 4th quarter

UH and OU trade three and outs and punt to each other again

Time is running out on Bobby and Oklahoma's #3 preseason ranking, need to score now and then score again!

OU fumbles on their own 30 but then UH fumbles on the goal line

With 4 minutes left, OU drives 80 yds ending with a 25yd TD pass

OU goes for two, down 23-33 with 2:05 left in the game

But the two point conversion is batted down and UH runs out the clock

The Cougars beat the Big 12's "best" team & hope to join the conference soon

Similar stats but turnovers and a 109 FG return for TD is the difference

Cougar fans rejoice over their great victory

OU fans started leaving after the final UH TD early in the 4th

Cougar players sing the school song with the band and the fans

Cougars should stampede their conference and could end up in a semifinal
