Alex's Troop to Froberg's Farm - Nov. 5, 2016

Alex's troop heads to Froberg's Farm in Alvin, Texas

Grocery store inside makes all their products available for purchase

Outside the store is a small carnival for kids in front of the corn maze in the background

The girls discover the water pump rubber ducky race area

It is fun to pump the Astroworld water through the tubes

Head to the corn maze to start the adventure

We collectively start as a group and then branch out to find the exit

Katie leads her team of Alex and Mr. David

Eventually find some fellow troopers who have found the way out

This is starting to look promising

A voice can be heard saying, "Go the distance"

"If you build it, he will come" . . . and finally find the exit

Play on the haybales while all finish the maze

Take a water break and rest the feet before the hayride

Get a troop pose with a few bonus younger siblings

It is fun to finally have a troop outing this fall!

Take the hayride over to the flower garden to pick some flowers

Pass by the largest strawberry farm in Texas along the way

Finally reach the flower garden after many acres of strawberries

Rows and rows of colorful flowers await the troop

Get your cup and your scissor and go collect a fine bouquet

The bigger flowers are up front but have been picked more often

Alex finds a really big flower and poses before starting her bouquet

The troop gets to work selecting different colors of flowers to collect

Alex scouts out the flowers she wants before diving in

Evie already has a pretty full cup when Alex finally begins

The troop collects flower that just top their solo cups

A patch of smaller sunflowers line the back of the patch

Looking back at the hayride dropoff point from the far side of the patch

Alex busily collects long stems for mommy's tall vase

Plenty cut but plenty left for Erin's 2nd grade class field trip Monday

Find a butterfly pollinating the flowers

She gives me a great view of the top of her wings as well

The troop finishes up their solo cup bouquet and head back to the depot

Alex cut one short flower to put behind her ear

It was fun cutting and now showing off our awesome bouquets

Head back past the strawberries watered by the sprinkler system

Roll past the farm's big oak tree used in their logo

Everyone gathers around to show off and bundle their flowers better

Add a little water and get them ready for the ride home

The solo cups look great and are easier to handle but Alex has bigger plans

Get some green beans, onions, plus dried banana & beet chips to enjoy

Mommy's beautiful and diverse bouquet on display back home
