Dickinson Light Festival - December 27th, 2023
Erin and I visit the Dickinson's Paul Hopkins Park on a Wednesday night
We park at the very first parking space and then walk the trail
Keep Christ in Christmas and school logos in the background
Longhorns by the ATM logo as the Aggies play in the Texas Bowl tonight
Capture the reflection of lights on the bridge to the creek below on the trail we will shortly be traveling on
Texas Flag before the same bridge and creek lights reflection
We cross the bridge and look left at the return trail
But continue right to take the circular path in the right direction
Follow the chronologically incorrect wisemen to the Christ child
Angels and shepherds were there in Bethlehem with the Christ child
Santa's sleigh and reindeer are parked nearby for photos & inspection
Curious deer poke their heads out of the safety of the woods
Continue through the lighted archway around the park
Find a castle surrounded by soldiers popular for family photos
Nearby are concessions and covered tables and chairs for taking a break
Helicopters, sleighs, and snowmen surround the area
Santa waves from the North Pole banner beyond the Christmas trees
Erin likes the maracas playing Mariachi band member
David poses with the trumpet playing Mariachi band member
Another view of the castle with a long line for photos inside
Soldiers guard and play music behind the lighted castle
A cowboy rides a gator, the Dickinson Mascot
Capture the sea monster with the moving tail before the water
It might be an elephant before a distant lighted path and its water reflection
A train carries presents to aid in Santa's distribution
Find a biplane with a spinning propeller
Side shot with the lighted castle and soldier line up beyond it
Armadillo with cowboy hat and peacocks beyond it
Look back at peacocks and armadillo in the background
Another lighted bridge leading to the final section of the Festival of Lights
Pass by a grove a tall candles and short Christmas trees
Photoshop Erin and I into the same Christmas 2023 photo
Christmas still rocks but some lights are starting to fade
The field of candles and Christmas trees from another angle
Erin poses along the archway heading toward the exit
The price was right & the walk was brisk at Dickinson's Festival of Lights
