Potter County Courthouse - Aug. 9th, 2025

Approach a 50th Anniversary marker to the end of WWII before the courthouse

Beyond it is the 1932 Potter County Courthouse in Amarillo

Focus on this Art Deco courthouse to the 1986 modern one across the street

Respectfully dedicated to the early settlers of this county!

County named for a Republic of Texas Senator & Secretary of the Navy

The 1932 Art Deco building is the 5th built Potter County Courthouse

Circle around to the southwest corner of the courthouse

Assembly Hall is now the Justice of the Peace & Mental Health facility

Was the original county library and is now the Potter Co. Law Library

North side of the courthouse from 5th Avenue

East Side viewed from Fillmore Street w/1986 courthouse directly behind me

Early settlers were tireless and their courage was undaunted!

Did not even bother taking a photo of the 1986 courthouse (SW view)

These two photos were taken from Google Earth (NE view)
