Schlitterbahn New Braunfels - July 20th, 2014

Get ready for today, but clear the room and load up the car

Sunday morning check out is at noon when we plan to be at the park

It is quiet outside our room Sunday morning, hours before the park opens

Resort guests can enter the park one hour early before the public

Head straight to the Blastenhoff Tower and look down on the Black Knight

We will ride the Master Blaster today and it already has a long line

The Sky Coaster will not open until the rest of the park opens at 10am

Already a 30+ minute wait on the Master Blaster w/resort guests only

Master Blaster uses a two-man yellow boat for the ride

Master Blaster was voted the best water ride in the US, multiple times

Six stories tall with the up and down thrills of a roller coaster

The line will be 90+ minutes after our first ride concludes

Conveyor belt brings boats up and sorts them according to ride

Wait for the green light and then your ride begins

The line is now going down the stairway of the tower (90 mins)

David goes first, solo and with video camera rolling!

Down the first drop, then up and circle around in a tube

Out the tube for another drop then propelled back up by water jets

Pass by the Blastenhoff tower to inspire those waiting in line

Back into a tunnel to make the turn and keep the water pressure strong

Through the tower structure and nearby the other tower rides

Down the final drop before the finale

Climb back up a final time before entering the final tube

Long final tube only illuminated by gaps in the blue plastic

Exit the tube and approach the deceleration pool

Hit the pool with a mighty splash and rapid deceleration

Earlier riders wait near the boat conveyer belt starting point

Momentum spins me around to see the Master Blast endpoint

Self portrait after the ride with sunblock still evident

Push my boat to the ride workers who move it along to the conveyor

First Alex & Nena come next followed by Erin & Donna . . . FUN!

Hold my lifevest Ahma and I'll run and get in line

We head back to The Falls for a long and fun ride with no wait

Alex takes to the rapids as a now seasoned tube rider

But Erin remembers her dump out yesterday and is not interested in another

Donna decides to take the girls to Surfenburg's Kiddie Coast

Nena survives her and Erin's dump spot on this pass through

David & Nena complete two loops before finding Donna and the girls

Pass by Sea Creature Cove on the way back to the AquaVeyor

Nena catches up after dump out by the Treehaus Suites on the 2nd loop

Enjoy the relaxing float down the Tubenbach

River's left fork is open today but we continue on to the AquaVeyor

Ride the AquaVeyor facing backward this time

Get a great view looking down on our final trip up

Go find the girls at Kiddie Coast

Not even the Yellow Submarine has enough room for all visitors to live

The octopus must be scaring visitors off!

Erin is not afraid and she climbs up to try out a slide

Wheee, that octopuses slide is fun!

No daddy, you are too big to ride the octopus slide!

Erin finds a road block at the end of the conch shell slide

Alex relaxes on the duck and splashes the morning away

Daddy, will you go get the towels back at Blastenhoff Beach?

David takes the long walk across the park past the Boogie Bahn

Line is not too long but never take the time to ride it

Walk past the shoot that dumped Erin and Nena into the water

Lifeguard sorts tubers to enter the shoot one at a time

View the rapids on the way to the dump out shoot

Rental cottages on the other side of the Comal with tubers between

Return with the towel bag in time for pizza, mmmmmm pepperoni!

Erin loves the grated mozzerella, Nena likes the red pepper

Lose my camera on 1st entry into the Krystal River, Nena finds it downstream

Gators as well as tubes float the river, Erin tries to board a pink one

Nena helps Erin ride the feisty pink gator

I like pink but not pink gators, lets find a different one!

This is more like it, a green gator! Help me ride it, Ahma

Donna helps Alex board and the girls go for a ride

Alex knows the reflective skin of the gator gives a more complete tan

David is attacked by the gator and fights for his life!

Oh no, he wasn't attacking me, he just ate onions and garlic

Look, no fillings! Braggart! Erin shows off her perfect smile as well

Erin is having a great time riding gators at Schlitterbahn today!

Done with the green gator, lets try a gray crocodile instead

Daddy! Get off the croc and help me get on!

Over to the wet bar at the Dragon's Lair Heated Pool

You can have the Mango at the Dragon's Lair!

The first of many bar side family portraits?

Check out the underwater capabilities of the waterproof camera

Erin no longer fears putting her ears underwater

Alex gets another bandage for her hurt toe from yesterday

David sneaks in an octopus slide before we leave the park

Cross over the Krystal River on the way to the exit

Get some Dippin Dots at the exit near the tram stop

The girls enjoy dippin dots on the ride back to the resort

Change our wet clothes and depart the Resort at the Bahn

Stop at the Columbus Whataburger for lunch amid bad traffic

The final day's park bracelet was yellow, Sat was orange & Fri was gray

So many park photos taken and none viewed . . . at $15 each
