Disney World Vacation - April 20-25, 2013

Peter Pan, Snow White, Chipmonks, & Stitch wait for Mickey to start the countdown to opening
Bolt to Adventureland but now must wait for it to open
Alex is getting used to waiting while at Disney World
Adventureland opens up and we calmly proceed within
Our first Tuesday ride will be Magic Carpets of Aladdin
We pick a magic carpet and are 2nd ride of the day

Saw the talking bird show inside here yesterday
Could fetch an ice cream from here later in the day
Entrance to the Enchanted Tiki Room visited on Monday
Ride ends but the line is short so we get back in
Ride #2 we are staying high above the spitting camel!

To Fantasyland for Enchanted Tales with Belle
Her house is in the shadow of the Beast's castle

30min wait to get inside Belle's house
We are next to get inside for an Enchanted Tale
Magic mirrow begins to glow and artwork appears
Mirror grows, artwork becomes a door that opens up!
Step into Beast's castle and are greeted by the Wardrobe
Children are assigned parts to the story with costume
One big older kid is chosen to play a knight!
Alex will be the Beast and Erin will be a Salt Shaker
We step into the next room where Lumiere narrates
Lumiere explains what is happening at the Beast's castle
A brave knight guards the room & protects Belle
Alex receives her Beast cape and learns her lines
Belle is called into the room and is excited to see us
She explains she came to the castle looking for her father
The Beast comes up behind Belle and roars at her
You must take the place of your father in the castle forever
Alex watches while the other characters interact with Belle
Salt shaker performs in the Be Our Guest parade for Belle
One knight secretly photographs the occasion
The salt shaker is a little shy around Belle
The knight captures Salty's greeting with Belle
Belle and the Beast have their dance
Alex loves to spin and doesn't care if she is the Beast
Spin me Belle or I won't let you see your father again!

Take a log raft over to Tom Sawyer island
Two log rafts ferry visitors over with sharp precision
The girls head to Potter's Mill past Huck's Landing
The girls climb the stairs up to Potter's Mill
Alex explores Scavenger's Fort
Look over to the mainland at the Haunted Mansion
Paddle wheeler Liberty Belle circles past the island
Cross to the smaller island on Superstition Bridge
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is across on the mainland
The girls run into Fort Langhorn
Find cannons protecting the fort inside
Alex climbs the tower to find mounted rifles
No this is my rifle, go find your own
Crossing over to the next tower
Underneath, horses and chicken talk among themselves
Outside the walls of the fort cannons & rifles emerge
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad thunders beside us
Head back to Tom Sawyer's Island on Superstition Bridge
Walk past Poor Ole Jim's Shack to the bridge
Take the barrel bridge & head back to Tom's Landing
Wait for the next log raft to go back to the mainland
We'll ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad on a future visit
Jump aboard Peter Pan's Flight with our fast passes
Too dark inside for more than Hook's galleon & the Moon
Time for lunch back at our favorite Tortuga Tavern
The burritos are the best deal for cost/size/taste
Alex likes the salad bar's infinite cheese bucket
A Dream Come True parade is underway at the Castle
Toy Story's Woody walks around and greets guests
Woody says HI to Erin while daddy gets his camera ready
Goofy follows Woody back to their parade float
With the characters back aboard, the floats begin to move
Toy Story's Woody & Jessie and B&tB's Lumiere
Erin waves at Woody and he waves back as they roll by
Lumiere says hi to the girls a second time today
Mickey and Chip ride in front of the next float
Minnie and Dale ride in the back
Next up is Jungle Book's Baloo and King Louie
Missed them by Mickey in Animal Kingdom Sunday
Genie, Mr. Incredible and Frozone are on the next float
Donald is by his lonesome below Aladdin's Genie
Goofy rides alone up front with Sebastian crab above
Erin and Alex wave as Goofy rolls by
Lumiere & Woody finish the driveby and head back front
Crowds disperse and head to other entertainment options
We head back to the monorail via Main Street USA
Back to the Polynesian to go swimming before a nap
Kiddie pool is surrounded by buildings so no wind chill
Girls can stand head above water in most of this pool
Clean up, cool off and tire out for a nap
Dry off and head back to the room

Take a nap then back at the monorail station looking down
Girls rested up for late night fireworks tonight
Girls are ready for chilly evening in the dark
Monorail arrives and whisks us back to Magic Kingdom
Arrive to see another A Dream Come True parade
Didn't notice the Mad Hatter riding w/Baloo & King Louie
King Louie Prima is alive and well
Mr Incredible, Frozone & Genie are still getting it done
Goofy and Sebastian are still solo on this float
Woody, Jessie & Lumiere conclude the Dream parade
Head back to Tomorrowland for a few missed rides
Get in line for the Astro Orbiter
To elevators up the launch stack above
Erin and Donna are ready to orbit
Alex and David are Go for Launch!
I'm a little concerned with jet blast washing over us
View the main road to Tommorowland while on orbit
Bay Lake Tower & Contemporary Resort beyond the park
Check out the People Mover after deorbiting
Next is Walt Disney's 1964 Carousel of Progess
Start with running water & in door stove in 1907
Move up to an ice box and electric wiring in 1927
Have a refrigerator and washing machine in 1949
Skip 1964 and move up to 2-panels at Christmas 2010?
Voice activated oven still needs a little work
Girls see Pluto outside and go say hi

Outside Hall of Presidents again & still don't see show
The Disney Electric Parade appears to us at 915pm
Tinkerbell starts the parade again tonight

Next comes the train driven by Goofy
Goofy drives the train and waves occasionally
Mickey rides atop the train with the Parade name in lights
Donna and Alex enjoy the electric parade
Alice in Wonderland mushroom and butterfly approach
Alice rides above the Cheshire Cat on a mushroom
Caterpillar enjoys his hookah pipe atop a mushroom
Cinderella rides by in her coach with fairy godmother
The prince looks for the owner of the glass slipper
The clock strikes midnight and Cinderella leaves the ball
Captain Hook's galleon fires its cannon and scares Erin
Mr. Smee follows Hook's ship in his rowboat
Dopey drives the mine car full of jewels
Snow White dances by with her electric dress
Dancing donkey boys lead the way for Pinocchio's float
Pinocchio sits while a donkey boy dances beside him
Lampwick's float follows Pinocchio
Pete's Dragon has Erin get up and get behind mommy
The final float honoring America arrives
Erin comes back up front to see the last float
Patriots dance beside the great bald eagle
To patriots signal the end of the electric parade
Over to the light show at Cinderella's Castle
Fireworks will have you Wish Upon a Star
Your Dreams will come True & scare you . . . so loud!
